VA Registration begins at 10am. Riders out 10:30am - 12 noon Money
prizes for at least top 3 card hands, plus door prizes, and food provided. CVPHC shirts will be for sale as well.
Retrieve your 5 cards on horseback via the beautiful trails along the Dan and Staunton Rivers. This state park is a
wonderful treasure with trails meandering along the rolling terrain, over bridges, and through the woods. Pre-registration

Saturday, May 8, 2010 CVPHC Spring Open Show We are sponsoring a Spring Open Show at Newport News
Park on Saturday, May 8th. Show starts at 9am and is open to all breeds and riding styles with Small Fry, Youth,
and Adult classes. Halter, Showmanship, Leadline, Western, Hunt Seat, English/Saddletype, Non-trotting/Gaited, Costume
and Game/Fun classes will be offered. This will be a "Ride thru the Gate" show, meaning once you
register and receive a back number, you simply enter the classes you are eligible for and settle your account when you
are done showing for the day. Entry fees are $6/class, $5/class for CVPHC members, and Jackpot classes
are $10 each. The show ring at Newport News Park
is easily accessible off Interstate 64 at the Fort Eustis Blvd exit. Jerry
Slemp will be our judge and a portion of our proceeds from our Jackpot classes, raffle, and bake sale will be donated
to Jerry to help offset expenses he incurred from a serious riding accident in December. We are excited he is going
to be able to provide his judging expertise from the judge's stand ringside. We appreciate everyone's support and wish
Jerry a speedy recovery and the strength to get back in the saddle again soon. More information about Jerry Slemp and
